A screening programme for CKDu was conducted for 400 children in the village Ginnoruwa (CKDu hot spot) using urine dip stick, BP measurement, USS and measurement of serum creatinine. To mark the occasion an art exhibition was held for school children and a rain water harvesting system was donated to the pre-school children for drinking purposes.

This project was a joint effort of SLCP and CERTKID of University of Peradeniya. Project was funded by the Adelaide Doctors Association Australia.
