“Feed a Child” Programme

Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians (SLCP), in collaboration with the Family Health Bureau (FHB) and Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, has launched a food donation program for under-5 children with severe malnutrition among vulnerable communities.

To Whom You are Donating?

Children with severe undernutrition will be selected from disadvantaged families by the medical officer of health or public health midwife. They will be provided with food pack with dry rations every two weeks for six months. The donations by SLCP will be transferred to the identified retailer for food packs. The Red Cross Society Sri Lanka will deliver the food packs from the retailer to the beneficiaries. The “Feed a child” program will be started in the Nuwara Eliya district where the malnutrition rate is considerably high.
