The Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians, which came into existence in 1996, is the glittering successor to its forerunner, the much-respected Ceylon Paediatric Association (CPA), which had been inaugurated in 1952.
The College, with all Consultant Paediatricians of the country as its members, is the premier academic non-trade union institution that is exclusively involved with optimal child healthcare.
Over the last 26 years it has gone from strength to strength and is intensely involved with continuing medical education, humanitarian projects for paediatric healthcare, collaboration with international paediatric organisations and in an advocacy role to the Government of Sri Lanka.
As we embark on another remarkable year at the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians, it is with great honour and privilege that I write to you as the President, entrusted with the responsibility of leading this esteemed institution.
As we reflect on the challenges and adversities that our nation has faced in recent times, it is crucial for us, as paediatricians, to stand united and committed to our noble mission of safeguarding the health and well-being of every child in our society.
Join with CME activities of the College of Paediatricians to enhance knowledge, skills
and attitudes in clinical practice.
The Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians, is involved in many social projects for the improvements in child health-care services in Sri Lanka.
